The Opportunity
As a Personal Travel Expert, you will be the owner of the client relationship within an Audley Travel retail store, delivering a seamless end-to-end experience from first interaction through to post-trip engagement and future travel planning.
You will combine proactive sales, relationship management, and travel expertise to convert retail footfall into long-term client relationships, while working collaboratively with Country Specialists to deliver a premium, personalised travel experience.
Key responsibilities include:
Sales & Performance
- Proactively engage retail customers and convert footfall into high-quality opportunities
- Generate demand and build a strong forward-looking pipeline
- Design and sell holidays, taking ownership of pace, follow-up and booking confidence
Client Experience
- Own the end-to-end client relationship from first interaction through to post-trip engagement
- Deliver a seamless client journey aligned to the Audley Way
- Design and sell fully transactable holidays independently within defined product areas (e.g. cruise, beach and selected short-haul journeys), taking ownership of pace, confidence and booking completion
- Collaborate on tailor-made Audley holidays that require Country Specialist expertise, co-creating more complex itineraries while retaining full ownership of the client relationship
- Use sound judgement to determine when to lead independently versus when to involve specialist expertise, ensuring the right approach for each client
- Build long-term client relationships to drive repeat business and future travel planning
- Resolve client issues and ensure consistently high standards of service at all stages

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
