Registered Nurse | Perth Clinic | Full-Time | Permanent

Spire Healthcare is experiencing an exciting phase in its journey with plans to open a new clinic in Perth, Scotland, set to launch at the end of the year or beginning of 2027. We are seeking driven and passionate candidates with an outpatient/Minor OPs (Minor Operations) background to join our team and help shape this exciting new venture.

Spire Healthcare is one of the UK’s leading independent hospital groups, boasting 38 hospitals and eight clinics across England, Wales, and Scotland. As part of this expansion, our Spire Clinics offer lower-risk outpatient and day-case treatments under local anaesthetic, delivering faster care to patients. Our specialised services include Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Gynaecology, and Orthopaedics.


About the Role

The Registered Nurse will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of our new clinic. Key responsibilities include:

  • Running nurse-led dressing and phlebotomy clinics and assisting with pre-operative minor procedures
  • Experience in Minor OPs/Theatre/Endoscopy/Ophthalmology/Dental-Maxillofacial (Dental-Maxfax) would be desirable. Skills and experience in:
    • Medicines management
    • Urodynamics
    • Colposcopy
    • Phlebotomy
    • ECG
    • Point-of-care testing (POCT)
    • Diagnostics
    • Wound care/swabs
    • Infection prevention and control (IPC)
    • Wound assessment/dressings
    • Chaperone skills
  • Carrying out any additional duties delegated by the Clinical Services Manager or General Manager to ensure high-quality patient care and departmental efficiency
  • Delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing care in outpatient settings to support efficient and organised clinics

Requirements

The ideal candidate must have:

  • A current NMC registration with no restrictions
  • Experience in Outpatients, Minor OPs, GP Practice, or Post-Operative Assessment (POA)
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent team player and strong communications skills
