Job Opportunity
Mitie is looking for a reliable and hardworking Pest Support Hygiene Operative to join our team at the Pladis (McVitie's) site in Carlisle.
This role supports both hygiene and pest control activities across the manufacturing facility, helping to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and compliance.
Job Details
- Job Title: Pest Hygiene Support Operative
- Contract: Permanent
- Type of Employment: Full Time
- Hours: 39 hours per week
- Rate of Pay: £12.71 per hour
- Shift pattern: Sunday - Wednesday
- Location: Pladis, 54 Church Street, Caldewgate, Carlisle, Cumbria, England, CA2 5TG
Key Responsibilities
- Support pest control inspections and corrective actions.
- Carry out cleaning and hygiene tasks in production and non-production areas.
- Assist with pest-proofing activities and environmental housekeeping.
- Report pest-related findings and hygiene concerns.
- Complete documentation accurately and in line with site procedures.
- Work safely and follow all food safety and health & safety requirements.

- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous hygiene, pest control, or food manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
