Brocket Hall PGA Assistant / Trainee

Brocket Hall is one of the UK's most prestigious golf and leisure estates, home to two championship golf courses and an award-winning golf academy.

We are looking for motivated and highly engaged PGA Assistants / Trainees who are looking to further their career at one of the UK's leading golf resorts. Successful candidates will be joining our team and play a key part in the continued development of our golf academy, member experience, retail operation, and day-to-day golf services.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about golf, committed to professional development, and looking to build a long-term career within a premium golf environment.

Golf Operations

  • Support the day-to-day golf operation, including member and guest check-in, tee time management, and general golf enquiries.
  • Provide a warm, professional, and knowledgeable service to members, visitors, and corporate guests.
  • Assist with golf days, competitions, society days, member events, and academy activities.
  • Help ensure the golf operation runs smoothly across busy periods, weekends, and peak season.
  • Maintain high standards of presentation in all golf areas.

Retail and Commercial Support

  • Assist with the golf retail operation, including merchandising, stock presentation, and customer service.
  • Support product knowledge, club fitting enquiries, and retail sales where appropriate.
  • Help maintain clean, organised, and commercially attractive retail displays.
  • Support stock control, pricing, product checks, and promotional activity.
  • Contribute to the commercial performance of golf retail and academy services.

Golf Academy and Coaching Support

  • Assist with the delivery and administration of golf academy services.
  • Support Head of Performance and coaching team with group coaching, group sessions, clinics, and academy events.
  • Assist with lesson bookings, coaching enquiries, and customer follow-up.
  • Support the use and presentation of academy facilities, including the driving range and short game area.
  • Develop coaching knowledge and practical skills in line with the approved PGA training programme.
  • Ensure coaching activities are delivered professionally, safely, and in line with Brocket Hall standards.

Member and Guest Experience

  • Build positive relationships with members, guests, and academy customers.
  • Act as a professional ambassador for Brocket Hall at all times.
  • Respond to enquiries in a helpful, timely, and professional manner.
  • Support the delivery of a premium golf experience across the estate.
  • Assist with resolving basic member or guest queries, escalating where required.

Systems and Administration

  • Use relevant systems for bookings, sales, tee times, lesson management, and customer records.
  • Support accurate record-keeping for lessons, academy activity, golf events, and retail transactions.
  • Assist with communication to members, guests, and academy customers.

Training and Development

The successful candidate will be expected to enroll on, or continue with, an approved PGA training programme or relevant development pathway.

Brocket Hall will support the successful candidate's development through practical experience, mentoring, and structured exposure to golf operations, coaching, academy delivery, and commercial golf services.

Requirements

We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional individual with a genuine passion for golf and a desire to develop a career as a PGA Professional. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills, a positive and team-focused attitude, excellent organisational abilities, and high standards of personal presentation. They should have a good understanding of golf etiquette and golf club operations, be willing to work flexibly including weekends and peak periods, and have the intention to pursue or continue PGA training. Previous experience in a golf club, coaching, retail, leisure, or customer-facing environment, along with familiarity with golf booking or CRM systems, would be advantageous.
