PGMR Permit Issuer
Location: Royston – UK (On-Site Role) Contract: 12 Months Fixed-Term Contract (FTC)

Using advanced metals chemistry, you’ll help tackle the world’s challenges—cutting emissions, powering modern life, and supporting life-saving technologies—through metals critical for a healthier, more sustainable circular future.
Working Hours
42-hour week, day shifts:
- Start: 07:15 AM
- Finish: 4:30 PM (Mon–Fri)
About the Role
As a PGMR Permit Issuer, you will play a key role in ensuring safety and compliance by:
- Reviewing job scopes, risk assessments, and work details to confirm all permitted work is carried out safely.
- Issuing permits only when hazards are controlled and safety measures are in place.
- Supporting production activities to deliver work safely, on time, and to quality standards.
- Completing batch documentation, handovers, and maintaining accurate operational records.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and contributing to continuous improvement activities.
- Carrying out basic maintenance checks and reporting incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring work permissions align with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Acting as a safety advocate on the production floor.
- Maintaining clear, concise operational records in line with company policies.
- Collaborating with teams to reduce risks and improve workflows.
- Reporting any deviations from safe practices immediately.

Key Skills & Requirements
- A strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
- Attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures accurately.
- Aptitude for teamwork and building positive working relationships.
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing, engineering, or chemical processes (desirable).
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in:
- English
- Mathematics
- Science
- Due to the nature of the role applicants must be non-smokers and have been free from nicotine products for at least 3 months.
