About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmaceutical Process Technician to join our manufacturing team on a fixed-term basis, working until the end of the year (with potential role extension).
As part of a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment, you will support the preparation, processing, and production of Drug Substance (DS), ensuring full compliance with HSE standards, cGMP, and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities also include equipment maintenance, validation support, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in a precision-driven setting.

Shift pattern: Mon-Fri (spanning 6am–10pm), with occasional weekend coverage under an annualised hours contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out manufacturing operations including:
- Component/medical transfer
- Media preparation
- Upstream and downstream processing
- Equipment/area cleaning
- Ensure accurate real-time documentation of all activities to meet cGMP and Ipsen’s Quality Assurance standards.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment to minimise downtime and optimise efficiency.
- Support validation, qualification, and development protocols (e.g. equipment readiness for compliance checks).
- Monitor facility and utility compliance through:
- Sampling
- Environmental monitoring
- Alarm response and troubleshooting
- Contribute to:
- Continuous improvement initiatives
- Inspection readiness (e.g. CAPA, OOS, complaint investigations)

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Degree in a relevant field OR equivalent experience in pharmaceutical process operations.
- Attention to detail, high accountability, and methodical working style.
- Ability to work flexible shift hours (covering weekends as required).
- Willingness to accept a temporary role (until end of year) with potential for extension based on performance.
- Passion for quality, safety, and continuous improvement in a regulated environment.
