Pharmacist Role at Boots

About the Role

Our pharmacists make a real difference in the communities we serve, delivering trusted care, advice, and services that prioritise patients. In this role, you’ll leverage your clinical expertise daily, collaborate within a supportive team, and use both in-store and digital tools effectively.


Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering a full range of NHS, locally commissioned, and private healthcare services using both retail and digital platforms.
  • Leading adherence to professional and legal standards for patient safety and pharmacy compliance.
  • Continuously monitoring, evaluating, and improving clinical care standards and safety protocols.
  • Supporting the Store Manager to develop the capability of team members, fostering a skilled healthcare workforce.
  • Cultivating talent representative of our diverse communities through coaching, mentoring, and ongoing support.
  • Representing Boots within the local community and collaborating with healthcare professionals.

Must-Have Requirements

  • Registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator:
    • General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
    • Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI)
    • Personnel Service Ireland (PSI)
  • Proven communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with patients and colleagues.
  • Experience leading patient and customer care within a pharmacy setting.
  • A genuine passion for delivering essential, advanced, and private healthcare services.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset and a commitment to mentoring others.
