Explore a rewarding opportunity as a Hospital Pharmacist in Plymouth.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and motivated pharmacist to join a hospital team on a locum basis, supporting perioperative care and medicines optimisation.
Key details:
- ASAP start
- £30 per hour PAYE
- 3 to 5 days per week
- Summer role with potential extension beyond
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses, and senior pharmacists.
- Support perioperative medicine management across surgical pathways
- Contribute to antimicrobial stewardship and prescribing best practice
- Involvement in enhanced recovery pathways and patient safety initiatives

Key Responsibilities:
- Perioperative medicine management
- Postoperative analgesia optimisation
- Management of postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV)
- Antimicrobial stewardship
- Venous thromboembolism (VTE) prevention, including hospital-acquired thrombosis
- Perioperative care of elderly patients
- Enhanced recovery pathways
- Medicines optimisation
Ideal Candidate:
- GPhC registered Pharmacist
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
