Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Pharmacist Independent Prescriber (IP) to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the pharmacy, while delivering high-quality clinical care to patients.
The role is full-time (42.5 hours per week) onsite.

Key Responsibilities
Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently Prescribe medications in line with scope of practice, including under shared care agreements, where applicable Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient care Maintain accurate patient and clinical records in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements Oversee and support inventory management and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies Provide excellent customer service and respond to patient and clinical queries Support governance, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives within the pharmacy
Qualifications
MPharm / Bachelor of Pharmacy degree GPhC registration as a Pharmacist in the UK Independent Prescriber (IP) qualification - essential Strong understanding of UK pharmaceutical regulations and best practice Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while providing leadership when required

Required Skills And Knowledge
Demonstrated ability to audit data for accuracy and identify inconsistencies Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks Strong attention to detail, with the ability to develop alternative plans to ensure service continuity Proven proficiency in prescription checking Intermediate proficiency with computer-based systems (e.g. pharmacy systems, spreadsheets, email, databases) Excellent time management and organisational skills Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
Desired Experience
Experience working in a quality-focused environment Experience working as part of a larger multidisciplinary team Experience in a fast-paced or high-volume environment Exposure to online pharmacy or digital healthcare models (desirable)
