Role Description
The Pharmacist Manager is a full-time, on-site position based at Brighton Hill Pharmacy in Basingstoke.
This role oversees day-to-day pharmacy operations, including:
- Safe and accurate dispensing of prescriptions
- Clinical checks
- Supervision of pharmacy technicians and support staff
- Ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations, company policies, and best practices in:
- Medication safety
- Immunization services

Key Responsibilities
The Pharmacist Manager is responsible for:
- Managing inventory, including controlled substances
- Maintaining accurate records
- Providing patient counseling
- Addressing clinical queries
- Supporting public health initiatives
- Fostering a positive, efficient work environment
- Delivering excellent customer service

Qualifications & Requirements
Core Competencies
✔ Demonstrated proficiency in Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice, with in-depth knowledge of:
- Dispensing processes
- Medication safety
✔ Experience overseeing Pharmacy Technicians and leading a collaborative, performance-focused team
✔ Strong skills in managing Prescription workflows, including:
- Clinical verification
- Documentation
- Regulatory compliance

✔ Ability to provide Immunisation services in line with current guidelines, with a focus on patient safety and documentation validation
Professional Aknovalages
✔ Current pharmacist licence/registration in good standing, authorised to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
✔ Previous experience in a pharmacy management or lead pharmacist role, preferably in a community or retail pharmacy
Soft Skills & Attributes
✔ Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach ✔ Ability to handle sensitive patient interactions with empathy and professionalism
✔ Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, including:
- Workflow management
