About Us:
Arun Sharma Chemists Ltd, trading as Pharmacy Direct, is an established, independent community pharmacy chain based in Southampton. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding patient care and clinical services to our local communities. As an approved UK Home Office Skilled Worker Visa Sponsor, we have an active licence and are delighted to welcome applications from qualified international pharmacists already in the UK (e.g., OSPAP graduates, those completing their foundation year, or those looking to switch sponsors) as well as overseas applicants eligible for immediate UK registration.
The Role:
We are seeking a driven, energetic, and clinically focused Pharmacist Manager to take the lead at our busy, service-driven Woolston branch. This site is closely connected with local surgeries and has massive potential for growth, particularly through the Pharmacy First initiative, New Medicine Service (NMS), and volume building. You will have full operational responsibility for the dispensary, leading a dedicated support team, managing the workflow, and building strong relationships with local patients and prescribers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
