Pharmacy Administration Officer Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for someone to join our pharmacy administration team, based in Gosforth, Newcastle. We are seeking an experienced, motivated, efficient administration officer who has previous experience of working in an administrative role, with excellent typing and IT skills.
The pharmacy service is delivered across four sites in Morpeth, Newcastle, Sunderland, and North Cumbria providing essential support across the Trust.
Role Description
The post holder will work as part of the pharmacy administration team to support the administration requirements of the Pharmacy service and department.
This is a varied role requiring good organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. In addition, you will be required to work flexibly, prioritise demands, and respond to a constantly changing workload.

Essential Criteria
The post holder must meet all of the essential criteria for this post.
Please note as this role is Trustwide, the successful candidate may be required to travel to the various departments across the Trust.
Main Duties
- Monitoring and managing pharmacy controlled stationery including issuing, receipting, investigating discrepancies, and reporting as required
- Ordering stock and non-stock items, managing stock levels, and identifying the most cost-effective items to meet the needs of the pharmacy department
- Facilitating departmental meetings, including arranging invitations, agenda setting, action plan management, and minute taking
- Supporting the Pharmacy team with all aspects of administration
- Supporting with Trust wide and departmental audits
