Pharmacy Assistant - Ebrington Pharmacy Join the Day Lewis Plymouth Team

Hours: 42 hours per week (Monday to Friday)


About the Role

Day Lewis is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant – Dispenser in their Ebrington Pharmacy. This full-time role offers a pathway to develop a career in Medicine and Clinical Care and will equip successful candidates with the skills, training, and support needed to progress.

Training & Progression

  • Initial Training: Complete the internal Day Lewis Induction Training to settle into the team.
  • Further Qualification: Depending on prior pharmacy experience, you may need to complete additional training or qualifications—which typically takes between 3-6 months. For those interested in progression, Day Lewis provides:
    • Support for training
    • Course reimbursement
  • Focus on progression to Pharmacy Technician level (currently in alignment with: The National Pharmaceutical Association’s BTEC Level 3 Diploma – Principles and Practices for Pharmacy Technicians).

Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Pharmacist Manager, your work will be crucial to the team’s operational success. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing advanced dispensary service and optimising dispensing workflows to maintain the highest customer service standards.
  • Delivering on weekly operations by adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Assisting on the patient-facing counter, offering warm, efficient customer service and fostering strong relationships with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Active participation as part of a collaborative, small yet hard-working team focused on service excellence.
  • Continual development of clinical, administrative, and commercial pharmacy skills.
