Job Overview

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, and conscientious pharmacy dispensers to join our busy hospital pharmacy team. Previous hospital experience would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be given.

Applications are welcomed from candidates who do not possess the NVQ Level 2 (relevant units) in Pharmacy Service Skills/Pharmaceutical Sciences but will be paid at Band 3 Annexe 21 rate until they have achieved the required qualifications and experience.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking a pharmacy support worker to join our friendly pharmacy team at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

The post holder will be required to assist with the dispensing and supply of medication as well as the receipt, processing, storage, and stock control of medicines in the pharmacy department and on wards in the hospital. Duties also include supporting other areas of pharmacy at ward level, and within stores and distribution supporting the ward-based pharmacy teams.

If you are a proactive, organised team player we’d love to hear from you. This post would suit somebody with a hospital pharmacy background, or with community pharmacy experience wishing to make a move into the hospital environment. All training will be provided.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
