Pharmacy Assistant Location: Manchester Reporting to: Pharmacy Manager Hours: Full time (42.5 hours).
Please note we do not offer part-time, and we do not offer visa sponsorship.

About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our pharmacy team. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of aesthetic and pharmaceutical products. The ideal candidate should be organized, have a strong attention to detail and be capable of working in a compliant process driven environment.

Requirements (essential)
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or warehouse, or similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy loads.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Adherence to health and safety guidelines.
- Secondary school examinations or equivalent.
Desirable requirements:
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical products and storage requirements is an asset
- NVQ 2 Qualified
- Familiarity with Human Medicines Regulations 2012 and EU GDP Guidelines (2013/C 343/01)
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming product shipments.
- Ensure all items match the accompanying documentation.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to the relevant internal stakeholders.
- Safely and securely store pharmaceutical products in designated areas.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized systems.
- Monitor expiration dates and ensure proper rotation of stock.
- Accurately pick and pack orders for delivery to various locations.
- Prepare pharmaceutical products for shipment in compliance with regulations.
- Conduct regular quality checks on stored and shipped products.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain product integrity.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials.
- Work closely with other team members to coordinate workflow.
- Communicate effectively with pharmacists, delivery personnel and other relevant stakeholders.
