Pharmacy Assistant
Oxford Hospital | Pharmacy | Permanent contract | Full time
Up to £27,900 per annum depending on experience 37.5 hours per week
Our Pharmacy currently has an opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant. Start your journey with us whilst we’ll support you to be your best.
Pharmacy Assistants work as part of a Pharmacy team under the direction of a registered Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician. The work includes:
- Taking in and handing out prescriptions
- Using computer systems to generate stock lists and labels
- Ordering items
- Receiving, loading, unloading deliveries
- Delivering medicines to other parts of the hospital
- Answering customers questions face to face or by phone
- Pre-packing, assembling and labelling medicines
- Preparing medicines
- Referring problems or queries to the Pharmacist
The purpose of this role is to support the Pharmacy team with daily tasks and duties.
As our Pharmacy Assistant you will:
- Gain experience on a private hospital setting
- Learn about different departments and activities within the hospital
- Participate in Medicines Management projects for the department
- Be part of an awesome team
