About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and conscientious pharmacy assistant to join our busy prison pharmacy team. Previous hospital or prison pharmacy experience would be beneficial but are not essential as full training will be given.
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn’t mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn’t ‘fluency’, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health. We are seeking a pharmacy assistant to join our friendly pharmacy team at HMP & YOI Parc. This is an exciting role in a unique sector of pharmacy practice. The post holder will be required to assist with the dispensing and supply of medication as well as the receipt, processing, storage, and stock control of medicines in the pharmacy department and on wings within the establishment. Duties also include participating in the wing-based medicines management service, assessing patients’ own medicines, and organizing supplies of medication.
