About the Role

To be employed in this role, you must pass an enhanced safeguarding check.

Our stores operate 24/7, offering flexible shift patterns to fit various lifestyles. While the role allows adjustable scheduling, weekend shifts are required, and shifts may need flexibility based on store needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide friendly and confident customer service in our popular pharmacy, including:
    • Discussing personal health matters with warmth and professionalism.
    • Resolving customer issues efficiently and directing them to relevant products.
  • Process prescriptions accurately, assembling and dispensing them promptly.
  • Raise awareness among customers about additional pharmacy services, such as:
    • Prescription Collection Service
    • Medicines Use Reviews (MURs)
  • Collaborate with the pharmacist to ensure accurate record-keeping for services like:
    • Blood pressure checks
    • Stop-smoking schemes
  • Collect prescriptions from doctors’ surgeries and transport them to the store for collection.
  • Complete an accredited training programme within six months, becoming a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant, followed by training to become a Dispensing Assistant.
