Pharmacy Dispenser – Cannabis-Based Medicinal Products (CMBP) Role
About the Role

You will be working in a specialist private pharmacy as a Pharmacy Dispenser, supporting the supply of Cannabis-Based Medicinal Products (CMBP)—a niche and growing field. The successful candidate will collaborate with specialist Clinical Pharmacists to enhance CMBP accessibility for all patients.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Receiving and validating prescriptions ready for a clinical check
- Processing patient information appropriately and securely
- Supporting the Responsible Pharmacist & Technicians in daily pharmacy operations
- Serving as the first point of contact for any pharmacy-related queries
- Maintaining relevant records for CMBP supply compliance
- Ensuring stock and security of all CMBP onsite
- Coordinating prescription communication with the Department of Health to meet regulatory requirements
- Supporting governance and safety audits to ensure the pharmacy operates as safely as possible

What Do You Need?
- A UK-qualified Pharmacy Dispenser
- Experience working in pharmacy dispensaries (ideal in primary or secondary healthcare environments)
- High levels of attention to detail, ability to identify errors quickly and accurately
- Self-motivated individual capable of working under pressure, remaining calm in stressful situations
- Strong communication skills with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals
- Professional, ethical, and committed to excellent customer care
- Excellent computer literacy, proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ideally, an undertaking of a CPD-accredited medical cannabis educational programme (funded by Montu UK for the successful candidate)
