Role Details
Tesco Pharmacy Dispenser pay starts at £13.70 per hour, rising to £14.97 in stores within the M25. Additional payments may be offered in some locations. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available.
Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. If your availability is close to what we’re looking for, we still encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting the daily operation of a modern Tesco Pharmacy as part of a collaborative team.
- Accurately dispensing prescription medicines with strong attention to detail and customer care.
- Providing friendly, confident advice to customers on medicines, common ailments, and available pharmacy services.
- Understanding customer needs and recommending suitable products responsibly.
- Handling queries within competence and escalating when needed.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensuring all prescription administration is completed accurately and on time.
- Supporting promotional activities and company initiatives.

Requirements
You will need:
- Experience or qualifications gained from working in a Pharmacy environment.
- A desire to train and develop into the Pharmacy field.
- A passion for delivering great service; greeting every customer with a smile, and serving them with pride while helping them find the right products and solutions.
- The ability to build rapport quickly so customers leave feeling confident, supported, and reassured after having had a great experience at the Pharmacy counter.
- The initiative to make the right decisions for customers, whether supporting them with over-the-counter product guidance, helping with prescription queries, or referring to the pharmacist for expert advice.
- A positive, team-focused approach, communicating openly, working well with colleagues across the store, having fun, and celebrating success together.
