CEDRIC'S CHEMIST LIMITED is a family run pharmacy with two shops based in Alderley Edge, Cheshire. We serve local residents with prescription medications, over-the-counter products, and health advice as well as providing advanced services such as blood pressure monitoring, flu vaccinations and much more.
Our team members work closely together to provide a welcoming environment and consistent, high-quality care and customer service.
Role Description
The Pharmacy Dispenser is a full-time, on-site role based in Alderley Edge, responsible for supporting the safe and efficient dispensing of medications. Day-to-day tasks include accurately processing prescriptions, labeling and preparing medications, stock management and ordering as well as supporting the pharmacist and other team members to provide a wide range of services. The role involves providing courteous customer service at the pharmacy counter, cash handling, answering medication queries within scope, and referring patients to the pharmacist when needed. Other tasks include ordering stock, cleaning, and administrative tasks.

The Pharmacy Dispenser will maintain clean, organized work areas, follow standard operating procedures, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. This role also requires effective teamwork with pharmacists and the rest of the pharmacy team to support smooth daily operations.

The job will suit somebody who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
FULL TIME 37.5 hours a week with occasional Saturdays (approximately one a month to be agreed in advance with a day off in the week).
Working hours are 9am to 5.30pm with a one hour lunch break.

Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of Pharmacy operations and procedures, with the ability to support safe dispensing.
- Experience handling Prescription processing, including checking details, preparing labels, and organizing medications accurately.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Pharmacy Technicians and pharmacists in a busy retail environment.
- Strong Customer Service skills, including clear communication, patience, and a professional, approachable manner.
- Competence in Compounding basic preparations under appropriate supervision, following established protocols.
- Attention to detail, strong numeracy skills, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Comfort using pharmacy or retail point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications.
- Relevant pharmacy dispensing certification or training; prior experience in a community pharmacy setting is an advantage.
