Tesco Pharmacy Dispenser supports daily operations within a modern Tesco Pharmacy, ensuring top-tier customer care and prescription accuracy.

Availability Window

Base your availability within these windows per day:

  • Sunday → 10:00 to 16:00
  • Tuesday → 14:30 to 20:00
  • Friday → 13:30 to 20:00
  • Saturday → 08:00 to 14:00

Your contract hours will be scheduled within your chosen windows, with at least 3 weeks’ notice for shifts. Apply even if your availability closely matches ours—we’re still keen to hear from you!


Salary & Working Hours

  • Starting pay: £13.70/hour (rising to £14.97 in stores within the M25)
  • Minimum guaranteed: 16 hours/week (roles with 12+ hours may also be available)
  • Location-based pay: Additional payments for some store roles

Core Responsibilities

  • Team & Operational Support: Work collaboratively to run pharmacy operations smoothly.
  • Prescription Dispensing: Deliver accurate, detail-oriented medication dispensing while prioritising customer care.
  • Patient Advice: Provide friendly and reliable guidance on medicines, ailments, and available pharmacy services.
  • Customer Service: Build rapport quickly, ensuring patients feel confident, supported, and reassured.
  • Compliance: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and procedural adherence.
  • Prescription & Payment Accuracy: Ensure all prescription administration and payments are completed correctly and on time.
  • Promotions & Initiatives: Actively participate in company events and campaigns.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience/Qualifications: Proven or partaken pharmacy-related roles or qualifications.
  • Service Mindset: Eager to develop skills in pharmacy advice, support, and decision-making.
  • Empathy & Customer Focus: Passionate about delivering top-tier, personalised care (e.g., guiding customers on products while upholding responsible recommendations).
  • Team Spirit: Positive, collaborative approach that champions open communication, fun, and shared successes.
  • Decision-Making: Authority to assist with mundane queries, understanding when to escalate expertise to pharmacists as needed.
