Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant

Responsibilities (Dispensing Assistant)

  • Providing a friendly, confidential, and attentive service to patients
  • Supporting and controlling Over The Counter (OTC) sales & stock replenishment
  • Labelling and dispensing Prescription Only Medicines (POMs)
  • Ensuring the safe handout of prescriptions per pharmacy procedures
  • Assisting with resolving surgery queries
  • Reporting dispensing errors and near-misses
  • Delivering pharmacy services, including customer care
  • Supporting the team to meet agreed KPIs

About You

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Completed ** approved pharmacy assistant training** (e.g., NPA Interact)
  • Completed approved pharmacy dispensing assistant training (e.g., NPA DAC – 1-year course)
  • A naturally empathetic, compassionate, and helpful attitude
  • Enthusiasm to deliver pharmacy services & meet KPIs
  • Self-motivated to resolve customer queries
  • Comfortable working shifts, weekends, and as required
