About the Role
Key Responsibilities (Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant)
You’ll be crucial in ensuring patients receive quality service, contributing to:
- Providing a friendly, confidential, and attentive service
- Supporting Over-The-Counter (OTC) sales and replenishing stock
- ** Labeling and dispensing Prescription Only Medicines (POMs)**
- Safely handing out prescriptions according to pharmacy procedures
- Helping resolve surgical queries and reporting dispensing errors/near misses
- Delivering a range of pharmacy services
- Supporting the team in achieving agreed KPIs

Requirements & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Completed an approved Pharmacy Assistant training course (e.g., NPA Interact)
- Completed an approved Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant course (e.g., NPA DAC – 1-year course)
- A helpful and compassionate approach with customers
- Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering pharmacy services and KPIs
- Ability to use independent initiative to resolve customer queries
- Comfortable working flexible shifts, including weekends
