Location: Haddenham, Ely, CB6 3XD
Fee Structure: £28 - £32 per hour + up to 15% service bonus (NHS and private services)
Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday 9:00am - 1:00pm and 2:00pm - 6:15pm, plus alternate Saturdays 9:00am - 12:00pm
Lead a Well-Established Community Pharmacy
We are recruiting on behalf of a respected and well-established community pharmacy in Cambridgeshire, seeking an experienced and motivated self-employed Pharmacy Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the branch.
This is an excellent opportunity for a registered Pharmacist who is confident operating in an autonomous capacity, leading a team, delivering high-quality clinical services, and driving the continued success of a busy community pharmacy.
The role is offered on a self-employed basis only, providing greater professional independence alongside a strong, supportive working environment.
You will play a key leadership role, ensuring excellent patient care, safe and compliant operations, and strong service delivery across both NHS and private services.
The Role
As Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance and smooth running of the pharmacy, including:
- Taking full responsibility for the daily operation of the pharmacy
- Ensuring medicines are available and prescriptions are accurately dispensed
- Delivering NHS and private healthcare services
- Providing expert clinical advice to patients and customers
- Leading, motivating, and developing the pharmacy team
- Ensuring the pharmacy operates safely, legally, and in line with all regulatory requirements
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with GPs, Primary Care Organisations, and other healthcare professionals
- Supporting accurate NHS service claims and documentation
- Driving service delivery and contributing to business growth
- Maintaining high standards of customer service and patient care

What We're Looking For
We are seeking a professional, confident, and clinically strong Pharmacist who is ready to take full ownership of a busy community pharmacy in a self-employed capacity.
Essential Requirements
- UK-registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- High level of organisation and attention to detail
- Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to patient care
- IT literate with strong numeracy skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced community pharmacy environment

Desirable Experience
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Manager or Senior Pharmacist
- Experience delivering NHS services such as Flu and COVID vaccinations, Pharmacy First, contraception services, BP monitoring, and travel health services
- Independent Prescriber (IP) qualification
- Experience working closely with GP surgeries and healthcare professionals
- Experience supporting service growth and commercial performance
