The Role
We are recruiting enthusiastic Pharmacy Support Workers to join our pharmacy teams at two major specialist centres in NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.
Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre
Support aseptic services for systemic anticancer therapy (SACT) and other injectable medicines, working in a highly controlled environment to maintain patient safety and service efficiency.
This role is integral to multidisciplinary teams delivering high-quality care across outpatient and daycase settings.
PVG Scheme membership (Disclosure Scotland) is required for roles involving regulated work with vulnerable groups.
Visa Sponsorship
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) may be able to provide visa sponsorship for certain roles, subject to the post meeting the relevant eligibility criteria. Sponsorship is not guaranteed and will be determined on a case-by-case basis following interview and during the pre-employment verification process. Duration, Location, and Working Pattern
- Location: Based in Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre and Royal Hospital for Children
- Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Full-time position (36 hours per week)
- Contract: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble trays and prepare items for aseptic production following SOPs.
- Perform accuracy checks (CEL 30 authorised tasks) on assembled items.
- Support environmental monitoring and stock control.
- Undertake routine cleaning and maintenance in controlled areas.
- Liaise with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to ensure timely supply

Knowledge, Training, Qualifications and/or Experience Required
Essential
- SVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
- Good communication and teamworking skills.
- Basic IT skills for stock and documentation tasks.
Desirable
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and medicines handling.
