Pharmacy Technician – Full-Time
Location: Hampton Health Pharmacy, 14 Stewartby Avenue, Hampton Vale, Peterborough, UK Role Type: On-site, Full-Time
About the Role
Hampton Health Pharmacy is a community-focused pharmacy based in Peterborough, specialising in prescription dispensing, over-the-counter medications, and health advice. We prioritise collaborative teamwork, attention to detail, and reliable customer service, working closely with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use.
This full-time Pharmacy Technician position offers the opportunity to develop professional skills in a modern, fast-paced pharmacy environment while building strong relationships within the Peterborough community.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing, processing, and labeling prescriptions in accordance with regulatory standards
- Receive and process prescriptions, including verification of patient and prescription details
- Enter medication and patient information accurately into the pharmacy management system
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including:
- Checking stock levels
- Organising and maintaining shelves
- Assisting with inventory orders
- Proactively support prescription workflows, ensuring efficiency without compromising accuracy
- Frequent customer interaction, including:
- Answering patient queries
- Providing clear guidance on medication collection procedures
- Directing patients to clinical support when necessary
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment, adhering to:
- Safety protocols
- Confidentiality and data protection standards
- Health and safety regulations
- Support the team with general administrative duties as required

Person Specification
Essential Requirements
✔ Experience working in pharmacy settings, including:
- Handling prescriptions and procedural workflows
- Demonstrating strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety ✔ Knowledge of pharmacy operations, including:
- Collaboration with registered pharmacists and pharmacy technicians ✔ Inventory control skills, including:
- Inventory monitoring and stock rotation
- Handling incoming orders and transportation ✔ Customer service skills, including:
- Clear and patient-centered communication
- Professionalism in high-pressure interactions ✔Completion of pharmacy technician training or recognised certification, aligned with local regulatory requirements ✔ Ability to:
- Follow verbal and written instructions
- Uphold strict confidentiality and data protection ✔Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to:
- Work accurately in a fast-paced environment ✔Familiarity with point-of-sale or pharmacy software and basic computer skills

Desirable
-Previous experience in a community pharmacy setting -Qualification in Pharmacy Assistant or equivalent -Familiarity with pharmacy regulatory frameworks (e.g., MHA, NHS guidelines)
