Pharmacy Technician Role – Primary Care & Community Hospitals
Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated, forward-thinking pharmacy technician with exceptional interpersonal skills, eager to advance their career across primary care and community hospitals.
This role requires a patient-centred, evidence-based approach to medicines management, working collaboratively with health and social care teams to enhance patient outcomes, improve medicines use, and ensure patient safety.
Main Duties
- Based in the central area of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB), supported by an established and valued team of pharmacy technicians and pharmacists.
- The ability to speak Welsh is desirable, though both Welsh and English applicants are equally welcome.

Person Specification
Qualifications & Knowledge
Essential Criteria
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Hold an NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services, or equivalent (e.g., BTEC National Certificate in Pharmacy Services).
Desirable Criteria
- Completed (or commitment to undertake) an accredited medicines management pharmacy technician qualification.
- European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) certification.

Experience
Essential Criteria
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience in a primary care pharmacy team.
- Medicines management or audit experience.
Aptitudes & Abilities

- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- High adaptability, working both independently and as part of a team.

- Welsh-speaking ability.
