We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician (Bank) to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Belmarsh, a category A prison in South East London.
Hours
- Monday to Friday: 7am – 7pm
- Weekends: 10am – 7pm
Salary
This position is bank-based, with a rate of £23.97 per hour.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Pharmacy Technician (Bank), your role will involve:
- Providing patient-centred care, ensuring feedback is heard and care tailored accordingly.
- Maintaining a safe and secure medicines management service, adhering to standard operating procedures.
- Ensuring patient medical records meet required standards at all times.
- Delivering non-judgemental care within professional standards, ranging from suitable medicine administration to cost-effective prescribing.
- Collaborating as a key member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Requirements
- NVQ Level 3/above (or equivalent qualification like BTEC)
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Up-to-date Continual Professional Development (CPD)
- Post-qualification pharmacy experience
- ACT Qualified (Assessment of Competence)
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while adhering to policy and procedures
Note: Experience in hospital, community, or prison settings is ideal, though not mandatory.
