Pharmacy Technician – HMP Wayland

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Wayland, a category C Prison located in Griston, Norfolk.
Salary & Hours
- £21.76 per hour
- Monday to Friday: 07:30 AM – 17:30 PM
- Weekends & Bank Holidays: 08:30 AM – 17:30 PM

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will focus on:
- Providing outstanding quality, patient-centred care, actively seeking and listening to patient feedback to ensure care is personalised and effective.
- Ensuring a safe and secure medicines management service, with consistent maintenance of patient records and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Delivering non-judgemental care covering:
- Timely administration of medicines
- Cost-effective prescribing, aligned with Health in Justice medicines policy
- Working as a key member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Minimum Requirements
✓ NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in pharmacy or related field ✓ Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) ✓ Up-to-date CPD (Continuing Professional Development) ✓ Post-qualification experience in pharmacy (essential) ✓ General GCSEs (or equivalent) ✓ Ability to work unsupervised while following policies
Desired (but not essential) Experience
✔ Previous experience in hospital, community, or prison healthcare environments
