About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician with prior prison healthcare experience to join our dedicated team in Chelmsford. You’ll play a vital role in supporting safe and efficient pharmaceutical services within a secure environment, ensuring high standards of care for all patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense and prepare prescriptions accurately under pharmacist supervision.
- Manage stock control, ordering, and secure storage of medicines.
- Support medication administration and compliance within prison healthcare protocols.
- Provide advice and support to patients and healthcare staff on medication use.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to prison security procedures.
- Assist in audits, quality assurance, and compliance with NHS and GPhC standards.

Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification.
- GPhC registration as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Experience working in a prison or secure healthcare setting is essential.
- Strong communication and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and security-conscious teams.
