Evolve is partnering with a leading UK pharmaceutical company to recruit an Accuracy Checking Technician

This is a great opportunity for a detail-focused pharmacy professional to support safe and efficient dispensing, including accuracy checking prescriptions (post-qualification), managing stock lines, and helping reduce dispensing errors. You will also coach colleagues, contribute to process improvements, and work closely with the pharmacy team to deliver a high-quality, patient-focused service.

This is a full-time, permanent position based at our client’s head office in Wiltshire, working Monday to Friday on a shift rota between 8:00am and 6:30pm.

Ideal Requirements for the Accuracy Checking Technician

  • Qualified pharmacy technician (GPhC registered or working towards) - You hold a recognised pharmacy technician qualification and are registered (or eligible) with the GPhC, with ACT accreditation or willingness to gain it.
  • Experienced in dispensing with a strong focus on accuracy - You have dispensary experience and take pride in working precisely, safely, and efficiently, particularly in stock control and prescription handling.
  • Patient-focused and compliance-driven - You consistently prioritise patient safety and work confidently within GPhC and MHRA standards, maintaining high levels of quality and compliance.
  • Proactive, organised team player - You communicate well, work effectively with others, and use your initiative to stay organised, solve problems, and continuously improve how things are done.

Role Responsibilities for the Accuracy Checking Technician

  • Clinical accuracy & prescription checking - You take ownership of technical accuracy checking, ensuring prescriptions are processed safely and efficiently while prioritising workload to meet service demands.
  • Workflow coordination & operational oversight - You help manage daily dispensary activity, working closely with the Responsible Pharmacist to ensure smooth, timely, and well-organised operations.
  • Continuous improvement & process development - You actively review dispensary processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and support better outcomes for both patients and the business.
  • Leadership, training & professional development - You support and train colleagues across the team, contribute to wider projects, and engage in ongoing learning to continually develop your skills and improve practice standards.
