This is pharmacy with purpose – a dynamic role where you'll lead medication services, develop your clinical skills, and shape safe, effective pharmaceutical care in a unique and rewarding setting.
Your Role: Pharmacy Technician
Take the lead in delivering safe, efficient medication services in our busy Category C prison where your expertise truly counts.
What You'll Do
- Lead medication administration – oversee daily medication points, ensuring patients receive their medications safely and collect prescriptions efficiently
- Manage pharmaceutical processes – maintain optimal stock levels, organize prescription workflows, and ensure environments meet IPC and RPS standards
- Controlled drugs management – work alongside the registered pharmacist to lead on all controlled drugs processes and compliance, upholding The Misuse of Drugs Act.
- Deliver clinical services – run pharmacy-led clinics including medication reconciliation screenings, medication risk assessments, and compliance checks
- Expand your clinical skills – receive additional training to deliver immunizations and vaccinations clinics
- Drive quality improvement – contribute to MDTs on medication-related issues and guide colleagues on safer, more effective medication management practices
