This is an exciting opportunity to join the Practice Plus Group as a Pharmacy Technician at HMP & YOI Hollesley Bay, a Category D Prison in Hollesley, Suffolk.
You’ll be part of a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to supporting your growth and success.
Key Details
- Hourly Contract: 37.5 hours per week
- Rotating shifts: 07:00–15:00, 08:15–16:15, or 07:00–17:00 (Monday to Friday)
- Salary Range: £29,264–£33,510 per annum (depending on experience)

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Pharmacy Technician, your role will include:
- Maintaining accurate and compliant patient medical records
- Administering medicines safely and efficiently
- Developing cost-effective prescribing solutions in alignment with our health-in-justice medicines policy
- Supporting multidisciplinary healthcare teams with pharmaceutical expertise
- Demonstrating empathy when communicating complex, sensitive, or medical information
- Educating colleagues on medicines optimisation, drug regimes, and healthcare legislation
- Working collaboratively to improve patient outcomes and enhance work satisfaction

Essential Requirements
✔ NVQ Level 3, BTEC Diploma, or an equivalent qualification in pharmacy fields ✔ Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) ✔ Post-qualification experience in a pharmacy setting, preferably working in multi-disciplinary teams ✔ Ability to work independently and follow policies/standards
Experience (Preferred but Not Essential)
🔹 Time in a hospital, community, or prison healthcare environment
