Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced pharmacy technician to join our senior pharmacy team and participate in the provision of a high quality pharmaceutical service within NHS Ayrshire & Arran.

Pharmacy Services in NHS Ayrshire & Arran are undergoing a period of transformational change- and this role is vital to help shape that.

Hours

The post is full time at 36 hours and you will participate in the weekend, departmental and public holiday rotas. The pharmacy service is provided from 8am to 8pm in the CAU and the successful candidate will participate in this extended hours’ rota. In accordance with AFC terms and conditions you may be required to work over 7 days and/or an extended working day.

This post is offered on a permanent basis

UK Driving Licence

A UK driving licence is essential for this role.

What You Will Do

The successful candidate will manage some of technical aspects of the rotational pharmacy staff at University Hospital Crosshouse, including staff, resources, activity and information and will provide professional leadership to all pharmacy technicians and support workers at their base hospital.

The post-holder will have operational responsibility for provision of a quality service in Dispensing Services, across all the acute sites ensuring consistency and will work alongside the senior team to ensure the very best outcomes for our patients.
