About the Role
One of our clients is hiring Statistics Experts to teach AI how to interpret and solve complex quantitative problems. As a domain expert, you’ll:
- Develop rigorous analytical prompts
- Evaluate model responses for statistical accuracy
- Ensure frontier AI aligns with the highest standards of quantitative reasoning—fully remotely and on a flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the factuality and domain relevance of AI-generated statistical text
- Design challenging analytical prompts and provide expert-level statistical answers
- Evaluate and rank AI-generated responses for accuracy
- Review and correct AI chains of thought for statistical correctness
- Deliver clear, precise feedback on quantitative reasoning and methodology
- Collaborate with the Outlier expert community to uphold quality standards

Required Skills
- Strong ability to clearly and precisely write about advanced statistical concepts in English
- Exceptional analytical reasoning and rigorous attention to quantitative detail
- Self-directed work ethic in a fully remote, asynchronous environment
Required Qualifications
Education:
- PhD (or advanced degree) in one or more of the following:
- Statistics
- Biostatistics
- Mathematical Statistics
- Applied Mathematics
- Econometrics
- Data Science (with a statistical focus)
- Operations Research
- Machine Learning (critical statistical content)
- Quantitative Psychology

Experience:
- Professional background as a statistician, biostatistician, or data scientist
- Demonstrated expertise in quantitative reasoning or technical analysis, or comparable high-stakes analytical work
Compensation
- Up to $150 USD/hour
- Weekly payouts via PayPal or similar platforms
