Peer Reviewer (Long-Term Remote Part-Time Role)
This is a long-term, stable part-time position that supports remote work. Please review the requirements carefully before applying.
Key Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Academic Qualification: A Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in the relevant subject area
- Research Output: Published at least 5 papers in SCI/SSCI-indexed journals within the past three years
- Methodological Expertise: Strong, thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles within the discipline
- Analytical Abilities: Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
- Communication Skills: Strong written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback
- Time Management: Ability to adhere to deadlines and manage time effectively
- Ethical Compliance: Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and objectivity
- Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals
- Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems

Primary Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Assess Novelty: Evaluate whether the manuscript presents original research that contributes new knowledge or insights to the field
- Evaluate Study Design & Methodology: Determine if the study design and methods are appropriate, comprehensive, and clearly described to ensure reproducibility
- Review Literature: Ensure the manuscript provides a thorough incorporation and citation of relevant, up-to-date research in the field
- Analyse Results & Conclusions:
- Assess whether results are presented clearly and appropriately
- Determine if conclusions are logically supported by the data and significant to the field
- Provide Constructive Feedback:
- Suggest meaningful improvements
- Highlight any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns
- Support Publication Decisions: Your evaluation will inform the journal editor’s decision on acceptance, revisions, or rejection of the manuscript
