Peer Reviewer (Full-Time/Part-Time) – Remote
About the Role
A long-term, stable part-time position supporting remote work is now available. This role requires specialised academic expertise to assess, evaluate, and provide constructive feedback on research manuscripts for academic journals.
Please review the following requirements carefully and refer them accurately in your application.
Responsibilities
- Assess Novelty:
- Evaluate whether the manuscript presents original work that contributes new knowledge or insights to the field.
- Evaluate Study Design and Methodology:
- Determine if the study design and methods employed are appropriate, comprehensive, and clearly documented to ensure reproducibility.
- Literature Review:
- Verify that the manuscript thoroughly incorporates and cites up-to-date, relevant research within the discipline.
- Analyse Results and Conclusions:
- Assess whether results are clearly presented, appropriately analysed, and conclusions logically supported by the data while remaining meaningful to the field.
- Provide Constructive Feedback:
- Offer specific recommendations for improvements, whilst identifying any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns in the manuscript.
- Recommend Publication:
- Provide a detailed, objective evaluation that aids the journal editor in deciding the manuscript’s fate—acceptance, revision, or rejection.

Requirements
Experience & Qualifications

- Doctoral or PhD degree (or equivalent advanced qualification) in the specific subject area being reviewed.
- At least five published papers in SCI/SSCI-indexed journals within the past three years.
- Thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles applicable to the relevant discipline.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills – mission-critical for scholarly evaluation.

Administrative & Ethical Commitment
- Proven ability to adhere to deadlines with strong time management skills.
- Strict commitment to confidentiality and ethical transparency in reviewing.
Preferred (Not Mandatory but Advantageous)
- Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals.
- Experience navigating manuscript submission and review systems.
