Sustainable funding is one of the biggest challenges facing any small charity, and With Insight Education is no exception. Right now, fundraising largely sits with our CEO alongside everything else involved in running the organisation.
A Philanthropy Manager would help us build a proper pipeline of prospective funders, rather than relying on ad hoc opportunities as they come up. Having a clear view of relevant trusts, foundations and individual donors means we can approach fundraising strategically rather than reactively.
Support with identifying networking events and donor meetings also helps raise our profile in spaces where funding decisions get made, building relationships before we're asking for anything. And having dedicated support on funding proposals means these can be more thoroughly researched and tailored to each funder, improving our chances of success.

What are we looking for?
We're looking for someone with experience in fundraising, philanthropy or business development, ideally with experience researching and approaching trusts, foundations or major donors. Experience supporting or writing funding proposals is a strong plus.
We'd value someone who's a confident researcher, comfortable identifying and qualifying prospects, and who can spot the right networking or donor events to prioritise. Strong written communication is important, since you'll help shape proposals and donor-facing materials.

What will you be doing?
We're looking for a Philanthropy Manager to help us develop and deliver our fundraising strategy. Your main focus will be researching, building and managing a pipeline of prospective funders (including trusts, foundations, and high-net-worth individuals) who align with our mission and could support our work.
Alongside pipeline-building, you'll help identify donor meetings, events and networking opportunities where With Insight Education could build relationships or raise our profile with potential supporters. You'll also work closely with our CEO to support the development of funding proposals, helping shape compelling cases for support that reflect our programmes and impact.
