About The Role

Job Title: Phlebotomist

Department: Phlebotomy Department

Location: Hemel Hempstead Hospital, Hertfordshire

Contract /Hours: Permanent/22.5 per week

Salary range: Up to £26,240 per annum DOE inclusive of regional pay allowance

Due to the nature of work that Sonic Healthcare UK undertakes, our clients require that Employees filling certain roles, need, as part of their on-boarding to complete a DBS Check. This role falls into the category of requiring a DBS check (standard)

About the role:

It is an exciting and transformational time working with the Hertfordshire and West Essex NHS ICB. Sonic Healthcare UK will be taking on the management of Phlebotomy and Pathology Laboratories in the geography including a phlebotomy cohort of circa 150 Phlebotomists. There is a part time phlebotomist opportunity available for experienced Phlebotomists. This role will have their base at Hemel Hempstead Hospital with the opportunity to work at St Albans City Hospital, as well as in various and exciting phlebotomy settings such as outpatients, ward rounds and in community clinics.

Key duties will include:

  • To be a valued phlebotomist in a motivated team with a patient care focus.
  • To ensure professional and technical standards are maintained within the services at all times.

Due to the nature of work that Sonic Healthcare UK undertakes, our clients require that Employees filling certain roles, need, as part of their on-boarding to complete a DBS Check (Criminal Record Check). This role falls into the category of requiring a DBS check (standard)
