PHN Community Team Lead
Public Health Nursing 5-19 School Nursing Team Lead (Dacorum and St Albans)

The Role
We are recruiting for a Community Team Lead within the Public Health Nursing 5-19 service for Dacorum and St Albans School Nursing Team. A perfect role for those seeking leadership progression and a fulfilling career in School Nursing.
The 0-19 PHN service has transitioned to HCT after a competitive tender. Now in the early stages of development, this is an exciting opportunity to shape service delivery, drive excellence, and uplift staff through change.
This is a permanent position with extensive support provision, including:

Key Responsibilities
The Team Lead will be responsible for:
- Managing day-to-day operations and providing support/guidance to the team, including ensuring adequate staff coverage and mitigating service risks.
- Identifying underperforming areas and fostering solutions to address gaps in service quality.
- Conducting staff appraisals and regular 1-1 meetings with direct reports.
- Ensuring the Healthy Child Programme is effectively delivered with all associated components.
- Tracking and ensuring the set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met.
- Regularly analysing team performance data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Collaborating with the Family Support service and partner agencies to help families access the appropriate level of support.
- Working alongside other Community Team Leads (3 within the county) to maintain a consistent 5-19 School Nursing service.
- Acting as part of the 0-19 leadership team to guarantee a seamless 0-19 Public Health Nursing experience.

Essential Requirements
- A full and valid driving license alongside access to a vehicle, used regularly for business purposes.
