Based at Fisher Studios, Oxford (OX4 1LF) Salary: £29,250 base + £5000 typical out-of-hours bonuses. First review at 3 months.
Fisher Studios is Oxford’s leading commercial photography studio. We work with the University of Oxford, its colleges and departments, local businesses and cultural organisations to deliver photography across events, portraits, product, architecture and the arts.
We’re a tight team of seven, based in a modern East Oxford studio, and we’re looking for an eighth: someone with 5 years’ plus professional experience who wants the stability of a full-time role that still provides the variety of work that you may have enjoyed as a freelancer.
What you’ll be doing
Day to day you’ll shoot across our core areas — events, portraits, architecture/interiors and product — working directly with clients and representing the studio on-site. Most jobs are reached by bike around Oxford, with some driving required for shoots further afield or when transporting extensive kit. Occasionally shoots take place at our studio too. No two weeks look the same.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
