Role: PHP Developer - BackEnd (Remote)
Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere)
Job Type: Contract
Payout: $30 - $110/hour
Role Overview:
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a PHP Back End Developer to work on a contract basis implementing and maintaining core backend services for high-traffic web applications. The role involves developing and optimizing server-side logic to ensure scalability and performance of applications handling significant user interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain PHP-based backend services and APIs to support web application functionality.
- Optimize existing codebase for performance, security, and scalability.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented PHP code following industry best practices.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues across the application stack, including database queries and API endpoints.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in PHP development with strong proficiency in PHP 7.x or 8.x.
- Experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
- Proficiency in MySQL or PostgreSQL database design and optimization.
- Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
- Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Knowledge of server environments (Linux/Unix) and deployment workflows.
- Experience with caching mechanisms (Redis, Memcached) and background job processing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
