PHP Web Developer
OOP, PHP, LAMP, AI, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Hybrid options in Chichester, West Sussex
Salary circa £35,000 - £45,000 plus benefits
A highly respected digital agency is seeking a PHP Web Developer to join its growing technical team in Chichester.
The business specialises in delivering bespoke websites, ecommerce platforms and business systems for clients across a range of sectors. Founded by developers and still highly technical in its approach, the company is known for building long-term client relationships, maintaining high engineering standards and investing heavily in its people.
This is an excellent opportunity for a developer who enjoys solving complex problems, taking ownership of projects and working directly with clients to deliver meaningful business outcomes.
The Role
The successful candidate will be involved in designing, developing and maintaining bespoke web applications and business systems, working closely with colleagues and clients to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
Unlike many development environments, there is no traditional project management layer. As a result, strong communication skills, commercial awareness and the ability to manage priorities effectively are essential.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
