About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled PHP Web Developer to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a successful digital design and development agency that values innovation, creativity, and professional growth.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in PHP development, experience in object-oriented programming (OOP), MVC frameworks, and modern coding standards.
- Location: Wimborne, Dorset
- Working arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) for flexibility and work-life balance

Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- Proficient in PHP, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Experience with MySQL database management and optimization
- Knowledge of MVC frameworks (particularly Laravel)
- Strong front-end skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience working with Apache servers and Linux/Windows OS
- Familiarity with modern development practices and version control systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and communicate clearly
Responsibilities
The PHP Web Developer will oversee the following responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications using PHP and the Laravel MVC framework
- Writing clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards
- Collaborating with designers, project managers, and developers to deliver innovative digital solutions
- Participating in code reviews and testing to ensure application robustness and security
- Optimising existing applications for performance and scalability
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes and workflows
- Engaging in regular training sessions and professional development activities
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting issues as they arise
