About the Role
Perfect Household Staff is delighted to offer a temporary part-time live-in Housekeeper/Cook position in Brentwood, Essex. This role is ideal for a professional seeking a well-structured, family-focused environment for approximately five months, commencing at the end of April 2026.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a warm, respectful, and collaborative household currently comprising five individuals, though this number will gradually reduce over the contract period.
To stand out for this role, you must have:
- Minimum 3 years of private housekeeping/cooking experience
- Two excellent checkable references
- Fluent English proficiency
- Valid UK work permit
- Driving licence (an automatic car will be provided)
Responsibilities
The successful applicant will undertake a blend of housekeeping, cooking, and light household coordination. Duties include:
- Full housekeeping duties – Maintaining high standards through daily cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and tidying.
- Laundry and ironing – Including specialised care for delicate fabrics.
- Family dinners – Preparing meals for a five-member household.
- Pet care – Feeding and general supervision of two friendly Labradoodles.
- Household liaison – Coordinating with external contractors (e.g., groomers, maintenance services, pool maintenance).
- Occasional pet care & property supervision – Supporting the household when the family is away.
- Collaborative work – Assisting with additional part-time cleaners.
