Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical workstreams on client engagements, including:
    • Developing surrogate models and AI-driven solutions to replace costly simulations
    • Reducing design cycles from weeks to minutes
    • Enabling autonomy in robotic systems for factory floors
  • Work with highly complex engineering datasets to develop scientific software products
  • Write optimised code for internal tools (Python, C++, etc.)
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and designers to drive breakthrough solutions
  • Publish research, present at conferences, and shape the future of physical AI

Your Qualifications & Skills

Essential

  • Advanced graduate degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in:
    • Computational mechanics
    • Materials science
    • Mechanical/aerospace/nuclear engineering
    • Computational physics, or a closely related field
    • OR significant industry/national lab experience in applied simulation or scientific machine learning
  • Proven technical ability to develop high-quality engineering/science code (Python/C++)
  • Fluency in statistical sampling, machine learning, and data science

Strongly Desired

  • Experience with PyTorch, simulation tools, and HPC environments
  • Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly, work autonomously, and collaborate across time zones
  • Tech publications or conference presentations are a plus
