Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Wirral to recruit a PE Teacher to start in September. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Sports graduate, aspiring teacher, or experienced PE Teacher who is keen to inspire students, promote healthy lifestyles, and support physical development and achievement across KS3 and KS4.
This role is open to both recent Sports graduates looking to gain valuable classroom experience and experienced teachers seeking their next opportunity within secondary education. Whether you are beginning your teaching journey or bringing established classroom experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact within a supportive school environment.
The Role as a PE Teacher:
As a PE Teacher, you will work with students across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and active lessons that encourage teamwork, confidence, resilience, and physical fitness. You may also support extracurricular sports activities, fixtures, and school competitions.
Key Responsibilities as a PE Teacher:
- Deliver engaging PE lessons across a range of sports and physical activities
- Support students in developing confidence, teamwork, fitness, and practical skills
- Encourage participation in physical education and extracurricular sports
- Adapt lessons and activities to meet individual learning needs and abilities
- Promote positive behaviour, motivation, and sportsmanship through engaging teaching strategies
- Track student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Build positive relationships to motivate and inspire learners
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed during practical activities

The Ideal Candidate as a PE Teacher:
- A degree in Sports, Physical Education, or a related subject
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for PE and sport
- Experience teaching or working with secondary-aged students is desirable
- Open to both recent graduates and experienced teachers
- Confident, adaptable, and engaging communication style
- Passion for education and supporting young people
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
