Physical Health Nurse
Looking for a nursing role where you can make a lasting impact on both the physical and mental wellbeing of service users while leading meaningful healthcare initiatives? Join Barnet Lane Clinic as a Physical Health Nurse and play a key role in delivering high-quality, holistic care within a supportive and specialist mental health service.
In this rewarding role, you will coordinate all aspects of physical healthcare for patients, supporting assessments, triage, treatments, and ongoing health monitoring while ensuring accurate and compliant healthcare records are maintained. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, you will help deliver person-centred care that promotes both physical and mental wellbeing.
- Coordinate and support a range of specialist clinics including GP services, phlebotomy, dietetics, podiatry, physiotherapy, Psychotropic Medication Monitoring Clinics (PMMC) and Clozaril Patient Monitoring Services (CPMS).
- Facilitate complex physical healthcare interventions such as wound care, diabetic monitoring, catheterisation, and tissue viability management.
- Provide guidance and education to nursing teams and wider MDT colleagues.
- Lead on infection prevention and control across the hospital, supporting audits, reporting, and promoting best practice across both clinical and non-clinical areas.
- Coordinate engaging health promotion activities and deliver educational workshops and training sessions to support staff development and patient care standards.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need
- A first-level degree and full registration in one or both general (RGN) and mental health nursing (RMN) together with evidence of continuous professional development.
- Seasoned practitioner with a total of 2 years’ experience, 1 of which will have been working as a RGN and/or RMN. Working within a mental health environment is desirable.

Barnet Lane’s Complex Care and Recovery Service (CCRS) is a highly specialised, bespoke inpatient adult service designed to support individuals whose needs exceed the scope of traditional inpatient service models. The service specialises in treating patients who have experienced multiple or prolonged admissions, stalled discharge pathways, or who have been unable to progress within conventional care environments.
