Role Description

The Physical Therapy Technician at MantraCare is a part-time, remote role supporting virtual physical therapy and musculoskeletal (MSK) programs. The technician assists licensed physical therapists by guiding patients through prescribed exercises, documenting progress, and ensuring adherence to treatment plans in a digital environment.

  • Preparing and updating patient records
  • Supporting video or phone-based therapy sessions
  • Reinforcing safety and proper technique during home-based activities
  • Communicating with patients to answer non-clinical questions
  • Coordinating scheduling
  • Escalating concerns to clinical staff when necessary

The role also involves collaborating with the care team to maintain a positive patient experience and consistent engagement with therapy programs.

Qualifications

  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills to engage with patients and collaborate effectively with clinical teams.
  • Solid Phone Etiquette and customer service skills to manage remote interactions professionally and efficiently.
  • Foundational Physical Therapy knowledge and Patient Care skills to safely support therapy plans under licensed clinician supervision.
  • Basic digital literacy and comfort with telehealth platforms, electronic health records, and remote collaboration tools.
  • Certification or training as a Physical Therapy Technician, Physical Therapist Aide, or related role is preferred.
  • Experience in virtual or outpatient rehabilitation settings is an advantage.
  • Ability to follow clinical instructions carefully, maintain accurate documentation, and handle sensitive health information confidentially.
  • Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote work setup to support video and phone-based sessions.
